As raw material is one of the key elements in our sustainable programs, that’s driven the sustainable silk project – BOMBYX on 2018. We take the innovation initiative to create a ‘nature-positive’ farmland that accommodates to the landscape, minimise the adverse impact with the best farming practices through backward integration from garment manufacturing to farm and mill. We keep sustainability and cost-effectiveness in mind throughout our production processes.

At BOMBYX, we have specifically chosen Yilong County in Nanchong to benefit from its rich sericulture heritage, which dates back to the original Silk Road era. As part of our commitment to social sustainability, we actively engage with local communities by providing training, technical support, and consultations. Our aim is to educate and improve their farming techniques, blending traditional methods with modern technologies to enhance the quality and sustainability of their silk production. This approach has resulted in expanded sources of income and extended harvest periods for the local population, ultimately leading to increased annual income.
